Simrat is a co-founder of TheStudySoc. She studied Neuroscience at King's College London and completed an MSc in Global Health and Development at UCL. She leads our Russell Group applications support, guiding students through course choice, personal statements and admissions preparation.

A structured process for narrowing hundreds of courses down to five smart choices, based on your grades, subjects and what you actually want to study.
Personal statement development
From first ideas to final draft, we help you build a statement around real academic interest, not clichés, with detailed feedback at every draft.
Admissions test preparation
Focused preparation for tests such as the TMUA, ESAT, LNAT and TSA: question technique, timed practice and honest score tracking.
Interview preparation
Mock interviews with detailed feedback, including Oxbridge-style academic interviews, so the real thing never feels unfamiliar.

When should we start?
Ideally early in Year 12, the strongest applications are built over months, not weeks. But we also run focused support for Year 13 students applying this cycle.
Is this only for Oxbridge?
No. We support applications across the Russell Group and other competitive universities, from LSE and Imperial to Durham, Edinburgh and beyond.
How is this different from The Med Step?
The Med Step is our specialist medical school division with its own team and resources. Russell Group covers every other competitive course and university.
What does it cost?
Fees depend on the programme and are confirmed by email when you register interest. There's no commitment at this stage.
